    1. We are CSCS Certified, which means we conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training. We have over six years of education in Exercise Science and Conditioning AND are required to continue our education every year. We are not just high school graduates who like exercising.
    2. Our trainers understand that muscles do not work in isolation and that movement occurs as result of many muscles working together. Therefore, it makes sense that we train movements and not muscles. This is why we typically do not focus on problem areas (such as a firm butt or tight abdomen) alone. We will provide you with good movement pattern training should after your assessment and train you for postural and joint stability and mobility.
    3. We stay on top of the latest information so we can help people achieve results with exercise programs that are right for their needs instead of risking injury by trying to follow a popular program that might be too challenging or advanced.
    4. We design exercise programs for clients that strengthen the core and postural muscles responsible for stability, while simultaneously improving the strength of the muscles that allow for joint mobility.

As personal exercise trainers, we perform mobility assessments that help us meet the mounting challenges of an aging and increasingly overweight population with a long list of special needs that includes cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and a variety of orthopedic conditions, including osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, low-back issues and knee replacement recovery.
    6. Advances in exercise science and medical research have led to updated exercise guidelines for both apparently healthy and special needs clientele. These guidelines provide broad parameters for programming, but lack the specific details necessary for unique programming based on each client’s goals and current level of health and fitness.
    7. Luke Fitness also addresses the diverse motivational needs of special population clientele who may have a history of exercise successes and failures or may be dealing with limited functional capacities.  This includes exercise programs for the elderly in senior citizen complexes and nursing homes.
